Teacher held for selling spurious drugs

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore on Thursday arrested a "teacher" for selling spurious drugs among students of various schools and colleges and other potential customers. FIA Corporate Crime Circle (CCC) Deputy Director Jamil Ahmed Mayo told Business Recorder that they constituted a team and conducted raid at Medina Medical Store, Green Town, and arrested the accused Muhammad Iqbal.
He asserted that the agency has recovered a very large amount of contrabands from the medical store. "We are still estimating the cost of recovered contrabands," the deputy director said, adding that they have recovered various spurious drugs, particularly for getting sexual pleasure and abortion.
"Initially, it has come to the light that the accused was a government teacher," Jamil Mayo said. However, the accused claim himself to be an MBBS doctor, he added. He said an FIR has been registered against the accused and further interrogation is underway.
