Head of Pakistan Awami Tehrik Dr Tahir ul Qadri has said the nation will not accept any new NRO for plunderers and killers, if any such NRO is granted, it would mean not just burial of justice for good, but also serious humiliation of state, nation, parliament, constitution and democracy. Addressing an emergency meeting of the committee here on Thursday, he said Sharifs had an organised international network, whenever they were in trouble, foreign planes and 'plans' reach to rescue them.
He said those who were constantly beating drum that political decisions should not be made in courts, now they themselves were approaching foreign powers for favourable decision. They must be ashamed of their-selves for their so-called democracy and justice movement.
Dr Qadri will meet with Asif Ali Zardari today to discuss about political situation and all parties conference. Dr Qadri said "after declassification of Justice Najfi report, if victims get no justice, the law would remain toothless before powerful elite and weak would never get justice in the state of Pakistan. Now State institutions have to decide if this country is to remain fiefdom of single family or it is to be run under constitution."
Commenting on the Punjab Chief Minister's sudden tour of Saudi Arabia on a special private plane, he said an old American front man of the Pakistani origin has been arranging their meetings with people belonging to more than one country.
He said there was a fear that history of 1999 can repeat itself and the killers of innocent people and looters of national exchequer can flee to the foreign country. He said if a new NRO comes to the aid of the accused, the nation will not accept it. The aircraft that Shahbaz Sharif has flown by is not registered in Pakistan.
The committee was later briefed by General Secretary Khuram Nawaz Gandapur about parties participating in APC. He said PPP, PTI, PML_Q, AML, PSP, Muslim Conference, Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen, Sunni Ittehad Council, JUP (Noorani group) JUI (Ajmal Qadri) and JUP(Niazi grou) have confirmed their participation in APC to be held tomorrow (December 30).
