UBG makes a clean sweep in FPCCI elections

The United Business Group (UBG) led by Iftikhar Malik and S M Muneer has swept the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) annual elections held on Friday. According to unofficial results, the UBG candidate Ghazanfar Ali Bilour and Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir have been elected as President and Senior Vice President of FPCCI respectively for the year 2018.
Out of total 11 sets of vice presidents, 10 have been captured by UBG and one seat by a joint group of Businessmen Panel (BMP) and Pakistan Business Group (PBG). Five candidates of UBG elected on vice president seats including Shabnam Zafar elected vice president on Sindh Province, Atif Ikram Sheikh on the seat of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Choudhry Javed Iqbal on seat of Federal Area, Muhammad Shafique Anjum on seat of chambers of small traders and small industries and Syeda Saeeda Bano on women chamber seat.
All the four seats of vice presidents of Association of Trade and Industry captured by UBG candidates including Tariq Haleem, Waheed Ahmed, Karim Aziz Malik and Zahid Saeed have been elected. Haji Abdullah a joint candidate of BMP and PBG on Balochistan seat and Arfan Yousaf a candidate of (UBG) on Punjab seat have already been declared elected unopposed unofficially.
