Deputy Inspector General of Traffic Punjab Muhammad Farooq Mazhar has said that a comprehensive strategy is being made with the consultation of Turkish experts for permanent solution of growing problems of traffic management in the provincial capital.
The DIG expressed these views while addressing the 12-member delegation of Turkey at Traffic Headquarter. Acting CTO Lahore Muhammad Asif Khan, SSP Investigation Ghulam Mubashir Maican, SSP Traffic Athar Waheed, TEPA Chief Engineer Saif-ul-Rehman and Home department Additional Secretary Internal Security Dr Asif Tufail also attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Traffic Athar Waheed briefed the delegation about growing traffic management issues of the city and their solutions were also discussed in details. The delegation appraised that proposals of first delegation of Turkey has already become the part of Lahore Traffic Management Plan.
Later, the police officers sought suggestions from the delegation for the betterment of their recently-launched Rasta application. The objective of their visit was to resolve growing traffic problems and improvement of bilateral cooperation.
