ICE Canadian canola fell sharply for the second straight session on Thursday, notching six-month lows on chart-based selling as soyabean futures also declined, traders said. March canola futures finished $4.70 lower at $487.30 per ton. The contract could test its low of $483.40 from June 26. "It's within striking distance," a trader said.
January canola was off $6.00 to $483.30. Volume in the contract dwindled ahead of its delivery period next week.
