Chicago Board of Trade wheat futures ended fractionally lower on Thursday, following declines in soybeans and corn, traders said, but worries about freeze damage in the US Plains winter wheat belt lent underlying support and buoyed K.C. winter wheat futures. CBOT March soft red winter wheat settled down 1/4 cent at $4.27-3/4 per bushel. K.C. March hard red winter wheat ended up 1-1/4 cents at $4.26-3/4 a bushel while MGEX March spring wheat fell 2-1/4 cents at $6.19.
