Samar Bagh clinched the trophy after defeated Munda XI Club by 26 runs in the final of the Lower Dir Twenty20 Cricket played at Quaid-e-Azam Stadium, Dir Lower on Wednesday. Samar Bagh skipper won the toss and elected to bat first by setting up 136 runs for the loss of seven wickets with Javed struck 36 runs, Inam made another cracking 26 runs and Iqbal made 19 runs. For Munda XI Imtiaz got two wickets, Yasir and Shahbaz got one wicket each.
In reply to 136 runs target, Munda XI Club bundled out for 110 runs in which only Taimur and Shakir Ullah were the key contributors. Taimur made 33 with three boundaries and Shakir Ullah scored 30 runs. For Samar Bagh club Yasir and Shahzab took three wickets each while Furqan and Nabil got one wicket each. At the end, the chief guest Commandant Task Force Lower Dir Col Aamir Shehzad gave away trophies and cash prizes. Assistant Commissioner Samar Bagh, DPO Lower Dir and elders of the area were also present.
