Rs 1.5 billion Tando Jam bypass planned

The Sindh Government has planned to construct six kilometres long Tando Jam Bypass with an amount of Rs 1.5 billion in order to provide alternate route for heavy traffic for Hyderabad Mirpurkhas Highway. The groundbreaking of the first flyover out of the project will be performed by Sindh Minister for Works and Services Imdad Ali Pitafi at Tando Jam on January 6, 2018, the Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Muhammad Saleem Rajput informed here on Thursday adding that the PC-I of the project was proposed by former minister Sharjeel Inam Memon which finally approved by Sindh Chief Minister.
The dual carriage project will take six to eight months time, he informed and added that 6.5 kilometres long bypass would have four numbers of flyovers and two numbers of railway crossings. The Commissioner Hyderabad Division Saeed Ahmed Mangnejo also with Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad today visited the proposed site of the construction of first flyover where the engineers of Works and Service Department and technical experts briefed them about the project.
