The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI)'s newly elected vice president Ch Arfan Yousuf Saturday assumed the charge of his office in a ceremony held here at the FPCCI Regional Office. Speaking on the occasion, Ch Arfan Yousaf said he is well aware of the issues relating to the tax, regulatory duty, customs, smuggling refund & rebate, starting business and high cost of business. He vowed to make efforts for early resolution of the issues being faced by the business community.
The high tariff of electricity and gas has badly hit the manufacturing sector; he said. He said that a detailed report regarding the issues in each district of the province would be prepared besides holding of monthly meetings with each chamber and association.
On this occasion, the United Business Group's Chairman Iftikhar Ali Malik said the results of the FPCCI recent election reflect our commitment with the resolution of businessmen problems that was why the group's candidates made a clean sweep in the annual elections. He appreciated the outgoing vice president Manzoor ul Haq Malik for his performance in the last year.
