Ahmadinejad arrested

The former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been arrested, Aaj News reported on Sunday. He was apprehended during a visit to the western city of Bushehr on December 28 on the reported charges that he was involved in inciting Iranians for anti-government protest rallies. Rouhani government is considering placing Ahmadinejad under house arrest. It is relevant to add here that Ahmadinejad had accused the Rouhani government of living detached from the problems and concerns of the people, and do not know anything about the reality of Iranian society.
