A very cold weather is expected in northern areas and Quetta Division in the next 24 hours with a fog griping plains of Punjab and Upper Sindh, the Met Office said on Wednesday. Elsewhere in the country, the forecaster said, a cold and dry weather is expected to prevail. "Continental air is likely to prevail over most parts of the country," it added.
Temperature in Skardu was minus 11 degrees Celsius, Astor minus 10, Gupis minus 9, Gilgit minus 7, Bagrote minus 6, Dir minus 5, Kalam, Ziarat and Kalat minus 4, each, Quetta, Parachinar and Kalat minus 3, each, Bunji, Rawalakot and Bunji minus 2, each, Chitral, Drosh, Risalpur and Murree minus 1, each.
