Country weakened by martial laws: Baloch

15 Jan, 2018

Secretary General, Jamaat-e-Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the politicians brought up at the military barracks had done great harm to the democracy in the country. He was addressing the participants of the JI central workshop at Mansoora. The JI central leader said that four martial laws had weakened the country while the so called democratic governments had done nothing except loot and plunder.
He said there was no democracy worth the name in the parties claiming to be democratic. Cruel feudal lords, vederas and corrupt capitalists had taken refuge in the political parties in a bid to hide their corruption and other misdeeds. Political parties were promoting dynastic politics. Corrupt rulers were serving their personal and party ends at the cost of vital national interests.
Liaqat Baloch said the Kasur incident should be an eye opener for all. He said that instead of including sex education in the syllabus, laws should be framed to eradicate immorality, nudity. Those involved in sex crimes must be handed down deterrent punishment.
