Khasadars at Torkham border foiled a bid to smuggle gemstones from Afghanistan on Wednesday. The sources said that Khasadars' Hawaldar Rahmanuddin and Ayaz Shinwari stoped a truck at Torkham border and recovered 19 kilograms of precious stones from its hidden cavities. Gemstones dealers said the worth of the seized precious stones was in million of rupees in open market. Afghan citizen identified as Aziz was arrested and sent to Landi Kotal lock up.
