Pakistan Muslim League-Q senior leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has expressed grave concern over poor state of affairs in the province of Punjab and asked the opposition parties to wage joint efforts to get rid of Sharifs. While addressing the PAT-led opposition parties' protest on Wednesday, Elahi said: "We would have to work hard through forging unity to put an end to the rule of Sharifs."
He added that Shahbaz Sharif has become a dictator and there is reign of injustice and oppression in Punjab. Elahi said Shahbaz Sharif has spoiled the police force which resort to direct police firing on innocent protesters. He expressed serious concern over police action in Model Town and Kasur. After the Kasur incident, he said the people requested the Chief Justice of Pakistan and Army Chief for justice which clearly establishes that there is no rule of law in the province.
Talking about change in Balochistan, Elahi said that elected representatives in the province brought a change in a constitutional way. "It was not a conspiracy rather a democratic process in which elected representatives chose their leader of the house in a constitutional way. You (Nawaz) have no care for Balochistan." He also expressed solidarity with the heirs of Model Town incident. He further said Nawaz Sharif did not raise the issue of Indian spy in his address to the UN. "We cannot defend our case properly in the court of International Justice," he added.
