Former Prime Minister and President PML-N Mian Nawaz Sharif on Friday said that the elements creating hurdles in the way of national development have been fully exposed and the people would show their anger against them in the 2018 general elections. While informally talking to the PML-N workers at his Raiwind residence, Nawaz said those who are threatening to quit the assemblies had earlier submitted resignations but returned back to the parliament.
Nawaz said that the PML-N had faced worst circumstances in the past. "We are determined to foil all the conspiracies with courage and determination because we only want to serve the country and its people," he said. He asked the PML-N workers to spread the party message among the people and the party's mass contact drive would be given a boost. He also said that the politically conscious people of Lahore rejected the protest of opposition in Lahore.
Moreover, Mehfil-e-Milad was also held, which was participated by the Punjab governor Malik Mohammad Rafiq Rajwana, PML-N leaders and workers. Special prayers were made for the country's solidarity and progress.
