Job Fair held at UVAS

The Office of University Advancement and Financial Aid (OUAFA) of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with Sabroso Chicken Specialist organized a one-day job fair here in the City Campus Lahore on Tuesday. President Woman Chamber of Commerce & Industry Lahore Division Falahat Imran along with UVAS Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha inaugurated the job fair 2018 while Director (OUAFA) Dr Shoaib Sarwar, Director Office of Research Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) Hafsa Zenab and a large number of industry representatives, UVAS faculty members and students were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Falahat Imran said that it is a good opportunity for students to connect with the industry and find better career placements for their bright future. She also shared her father also graduated from UVAS which is a prestigious institution in Pakistan through its quality of education and research.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha spoke about the different professional degree programmes, UVAS campuses and its role for the development of livestock sector and also for the promotion of safe & healthy high quality food production in the country by using its trained human resource, knowledge and skills. He said UVAS is closely working with the industry and have talented students they can play a vital role for the uplift of national economy of Pakistan by using their talent and skills in their practical life. He also lauded the efforts OUAFA for the organizing of such a mega event for the better future of UVAS students. Ms Falahat Imran along with Dr Talat Naseer Pasha took a round of the stalls and talked to company representatives and students.
Total 30 companies set up their stalls at the fair, displayed their products and brochures and registered university students, who are nearing graduation for jobs.
A large number of students from Bachelor, Master, MPhil and PhD programmes of Applied Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, Business Studies and Pharmacy visited the stalls, where companies registered them for their possible induction into their organizations.
