FCCI donates Rs 0.5 million to SMT Hospital

Healthy individuals are imperative to contribute their productive role in the overall development of society and in this connection a comprehensive awareness campaign would be launched to give necessary awareness to the masses for saving them from various prevalent diseases. Addressing the Standing Committee of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) on Health, its Chairman Sheikh Idrees Sedhay Mian announced a donation of Rs 0.5 million for Suriyya Majeed Trust (SMT) Hospital.
He told that the standing committee will donate two lakh from its own resources while three lakh will be doled out by the Platinum Lions Club Faisalabad. He said that in order to continue this noble cause, he needs the support of all members and hoped that they would donate generously for the health of the deprived segments of the society.
About Sir Syed Special Education School Millat Town, he told that there are 130 Polio infested students but there is only one visiting doctor. He told that he has arranged an additional full time doctor for this school. Regarding recently installed RO (Reverse Osmosis) Plant in a nearby village of Faisalabad, he told that it will be formally inaugurated during next week.
"It will provide portable water to the residents of this locality and helps them to save themselves from water born diseases including hepatitis etc. Mehmood-ul- Hassan, a member of the committee also presented a cheque of Rs one lakh to provide improved health facilities to the people in public sector hospitals. The meeting was also attended by Muhammad Nawaz, Shafqat Iqbal, Tallat Mehmood, Ashfaq Javaid, Usama Saeed, Syed Muratab Ali Shah and Amir Iftikhar.
