AJK PM terms Indian democracy 'a gimmick'

27 Jan, 2018

The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Raja Farooq Haider has said that Indian democracy is a gimmick to deceive International Community. He said India on one side was oppressing Kashmiri people through brutalities being committed by her army while on the other the Indian leadership presents a cosmetic democratic face to the world.
He was talking to a delegation of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) AJK Chapter who was called on him here at Prime Minister Secretariat on Friday. He asked the international community, International Human Rights Organizations and European Union to send their delegations in Indian held Kashmir so that they could witness gross human rights abuses and atrocities besides determining the ground realities. It would help the world community to see the real face of India masked with so called democracy and secularism AJK PM added.
AJK PM Farooq Haider said the extremism in India was in its peak and Hindu fanatics have made the lives of minorities miserable under the patronage of ruling BJP government. "We are going to contact all the political, social and religious parties and organizations in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir to stage a strong common protest against India in order to seek the attention of UN and International community towards the grave situation of Indian occupied Kashmir and highlight the Kashmir issue in its true perspective at international level" PM Farooq told to APHC leaders.
The APHC leaders on the occasion sought his attention towards the 6 percent quota issue of Kashmiri refugees and the PM assured that all issues of Kashmiri refugees including the quota would be resolved on priority. AJK PM expressed his apprehension over the India-Israel accord and termed it threat to region.
