Rao Anwar case: airport entry passes of 13 cops blocked

Home department Sindh and Police have sought assistance from the other provinces to capture Rao Anwar. Government of Sindh has confirmed writing letters to the IGPs of the other three provinces and Railways asking for assistance in capturing Rao Anwar. According to a private TV channel on January 25, Rao Anwar's passport and NIC number have been included in the letters to facilitate identification. Moreover, airport entry passes of 13 police officers have been blocked who were part of the team that staged fake encounter in which Naqeebullah was killed. Passes of 13 officers including Rao Anwar, former SP Sohrab Goth Saif Ullah and DSP Khalid Mehmood have been blocked. The move to block entry passes of police officers named in the FIR comes after Rao Anwar was caught fleeing the country. According to the report presented before the SC, Naqeeb was not a terrorist but a liberal youngster aspiring to be a model. He was picked from a tea stall on Isfahani Road on 3 January.
