The country's leading rice exporters have welcomed the completion of Lyari Expressway. Rafique Suleman, Senior Vice Chairman Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) and Abdul Rahim Janoo, Ex-Chairman REAP while talking to media persons expressed their heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Muhammad Zubair, Governor Sindh and Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh on the completion of Northern side of Lyari Expressway.
They said that after completion of this project a long pending transportation problem of Karachi is resolved. As Karachi is the national trading hub of Pakistan, this expressway will bring fruitful results for our economy and particularly traffic congestion will be resolved and people of Karachi may travel with peace of mind from their home to offices and vice versa, as the length of this expressway is 38 kilometers from Mauripur to Sohrab Goth and there are four interchange in this project, ie Mauripur, Garden, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Sohrab Goth.
Abdul Rahim Janoo appreciated the Rs 25 billion package announced by the prime minister for Karachi city and hope that this will be utilized for some more important projects for Karachi. He urged the federal and provincial governments to complete the undergoing projects of Karachi city, so that this city may again become the city of lights.
Rafique Suleman also appreciated the efforts of Jawwad Rafique Mali, Chairman National Highway Authority (NHA) and Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) towards the completion of this very important project. He added that this project will also help eliminated the issues of law & order and street crimes.-PR
