Chairman Qaumi Watan Party Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Sunday strongly condemned the suicide attack in Kabal Swat on Pakistan Army unit, in which 11 Pakistan Army soldiers, including a Captain were martyred and caused injuries to 13. He expressed his deepest sorrows and condolences over the martyrs, saying that Pakistan Army and nation had rendered matchless sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
He said this while addressing a big gathering in Sherpao District Charsadda in connection with the preparation of 43rd death anniversary of Shaheed Hayat Muhammad Khan Sherpao that would be observed on 11th February 2018 with great zeal and respect.
QWP chairman said that terrorism had played havoc with lives of the people in Pakistan and no cowardly attack can deter the nation in pursuing its struggle of Pakistan Army soldiers against the menace of terrorism to its logical conclusion. He said that the nation is committed and united and we will continue our fight till the last trace is rooted out. He said that the people of swat were long affected by terrorism and extremist and the whole nation as well. Sherpao said that their sacrifices had vindicated the reality that even the worse oppression could not defeat a nation and the coward terrorist enemy was no match for the valiant sons of the soil. He prayed for the blessing of the departed souls and quick recovery of the injured and expressed deep grief and condolences with the bereaved families. He said that the worse law and order situation in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had exposed the tall claims of the provincial government and sent a wave of uncertainty in the country.
The party chief regretted that the provincial government to make out a strategy overcomes the alarming situation, which tarnished the image of the province. He sighted that the hardcore cases of Shareef Bibi, Asma and Asma Rani have not been solved and the culprits are still at large. Sherpao regretted that provincial government the provincial government boasted over the performance of the province police performance for political scoring but unfortunately the situation is far worsened. He said that over 200 hundred cases have been reported, but the government was oblique to his stand, which appears that the rulers were living in the fool's paradise.
QWP chief regretted that the gory situation of affairs exposed the credentials of the government and serious situation of mis-governance had been sacked by them. He said that good ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan are of vital in the regional peace and stability. He contended that concerted efforts were required to end the turmoil in the region. He said that the two-sided high level visits for the regional security and terrorism is a good omen and the mutual dialogues were the only solution to end terrorism and extremism. "QWP would not sit by idle and would continue to raise its voice for the welfare of Pakhtoons rights, he added".
