Punjab Minister for Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department Kh. Salman Rafique paid a surprise visit to the Blood Bank and the Emergency Department of Jinnah Hospital yesterday night. Kh. Salman Rafique inspected the blood bank services. He called the Director Institute of Blood Transfusion Services Dr Zafar Iqbal to the hospital. Kh. Salman Rafique directed the Director IBTS to immediately take necessary steps for improving the conditions in the blood bank.
He also directed to increase the staff in the blood bank to provide better services to the patients and reducing the long queues. Kh. Salman Rafique said that new equipment and additional staff also be provided. Later, the Minister visited the emergency department of the hospital in detailed and reviewed the arrangements for the treatment to the patients and cleanliness/hygienic conditions in the emergency. Kh. Salman Rafique expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements.
He was happy to see influenza counters operational along with the uniformed staff. Kh. Salman Rafique appreciated the hospital staff on wearing proper uniform and displaying their badges of their names.
