Supreme Court on Wednesday granted 10 days to PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz to engage services of a defence counsel in contempt proceedings initiated against him over anti-judiciary speeches and discussions in various TV talk shows. A three-member bench led by Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh resumed the hearing of suo motu contempt proceedings initiated against Federal Minister for Privatization Daniyal Aziz.
The bench appointed Attorney General for Pakistan Ashtar Ausaf as prosecutor in the contempt plea against Daniyal Aziz and adjourned the matter till February 19.
