The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged its members to settle their dispute that would save their precious time, money and business reputation. LCCI Acting President Khawaja Khawar Rashid and Vice President Zeshan Khalil said that even the Lahore High Court (LHC) is referring disputes for mediation to the Lahore Chamber that has resolved a number of cases successfully. The LCCI established mediation center for out-of-court settlements of the business disputes in collaboration with the World Bank and IFC, they said, adding that support of judiciary is making this Centre more effective.
The Lahore Chamber is not only putting in its best efforts for trust building between the government and the private sector but is also supplementing the government's efforts aimed at economic revival of the country, they said, and expressed concern over a dispute between the two former LCCI office-bearers and moving the court by one of them.
