Huzoori Bagh's illumination work completed

The Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) has completed the illumination of Huzoori Bagh which will be opened soon for the public at night. Almost 1000 high performance European standard lights have been used in the illumination of this historic complex. A total cost of Rs 16 million occurred on this project which was spent out of the Lahore Fort Fund.
All the sites in historic complex have been illuminated which included Huzoori Bagh Baradari, Alamgiri Gate, Roshnai Gate, walls of Lahore Fort and Huzoori Bagh Complex, entrance of Badshahi Mosque, tomb of Allama Iqbal, dome of Samadhi of Ranjeet Singh and all the plants and trees inside the historic complex. The entrance gate of historic complex has also been illuminated.
The Authority said for the first time illumination of this scale has been done. This illumination will also be extended to other sites inside Lahore Fort. This illumination will also be providing a majestic view to the visitors at Fort Road Food Street and surely the footfall will increase.
WCLA Director General Kamran Lashari said this was a much-desired project by WCLA and now it is complete. "Lights of international standards have been used in this project. Previously, we had illuminated the picture wall of Lahore Fort and it is being frequented by visitors now. We will soon be lighting up the quadrangles of Lahore Fort and Sheesh Mahal," he added.
