Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has quashed rumors of him suffering from stomach cancer, as he took to Twitter and gave a health update to his followers.

Reports of Shahid battling stomach cancer trended over the weekend, when he was in New Delhi with his wife Mira Rajput and their children Misha and Zain. This news left everyone shocked and it was kind of unbelievable for many.

However, the 37-year-old actor took to Twitter to clear all the rumours and said that he is absolutely fine.

One of Shahid's family member was also quoted by ABP saying, “How can people write just anything without any evidence. Spreading rumors like these is not acceptable”.

Earlier, people speculated that actor Rishi Kapoor is suffering from some life-threatening disease after he announced a break from acting due to some medical emergency and went to US for treatment.

Meanwhile on work front, Shahid will be seen in ‘Kabir Singh’, the movie is the remake of Telugu blockbuster ‘Arjun Reddy’ which featured Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role. It will hit theatres on June 21, 2019.
