The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) barred the Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz from traveling abroad on Monday night.
The PML-N leader was stopped by the FIA from boarding a Qatar Airlines flight from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, local media reported. The PML-N leader and son of PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif was traveling to Doha when he was stopped by the authorities.
Hamza said that he informed by the authorities that his name was placed on the Exit Control List (ECL). The accountability bureau has been investigating Hamza for owning more assets than known sources of income. Hamza has also been accused in the Saaf Pani Company case.
