Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has stressed the need for promoting tolerance and inculcating our indigenous values in the students. She was addressing the High Achiever Ceremony 2018 for Edexcel Examination of Roots Millennium Schools (RMS) here on Saturday.
Ms Maryam Aurangzeb, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting was the chief guest on the occasion. Other guest of honours included Ambassador of Portugal Joao Sabido Costa, Pakistan Former High Commissioner to Malaysia Syed Hasan Raza, Defense Attache of the Embassy of Ukraine, Dr Junaid Zaidi Rector COMSATS, Founder and CEO Millennium Roots Schools Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq, Chief Teaching and Learning Officer RMS Steve Ryan, Executive Director Anna Faisal and Director Academics Mrs. Erum Atif.
Ms Maryam Aurangzeb said it is our responsibility to make our children productive and useful citizens of the country and this process begins at home. The minister said, "Our students are competing at international level and there is a need to educate our children about our indigenous cultural and moral values.
She said that private schools are playing an important role in imparting quality education in line with modern standards. She said under the Prime Minister's Education Reform Scheme reform process was started in schools of the federal capital to bridge the gap between public and private sector education.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said opponents of PML-N are trying to weaken it but they will not succeed in their aspirations. She said people believe that PML-N is the only party that delivers on its promises. Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Ms Maryam Aurangzeb acknowledged the services of Millennium Roots Schools in the field of education and urged the students to continue working hard and succeeding for themselves and the country. She expressed his pleasure to see and meet students with high academic profile.
She also shared her views that education is a great weapon we should equip our children with. She gave away certificates to award achievers and congratulated them. Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq TI, Chief Executive Roots Millennium Schools & Department of Qualification, Curriculum and Assessment took the opportunity to express his thoughts on the impressive achievements and congratulated the top-scorers.
