After announcing its partnership with McLaren for a ‘Salute to Speed’ last month, OnePlus unveiled yesterday the special edition McLaren OnePlus 6T phone that has a whopping 10GB RAM and ultra-fast charging.
At the ‘Salute to Speed’ event held yesterday, the luxury automaker McLaren and smartphone manufacturer OnePlus revealed the all new OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition phone. The phone is an advanced version of OnePlus’s 6T version with a 10GB RAM and a super-fast ‘Warp Charge 30’ adapter.
As per McLaren, the advanced charger boasts 30watts of power and will give the phone ‘a day’s power in only 20 minutes’. The phone also has a slight different physical appearance. The special edition phone comes in a new color: Papaya Orange. It also has a carbon fiber-like pattern under its glass back.

However, apart from the charger and massive memory, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition has similar specification as the regular OnePlus 6T. It features the same Snapdragon 845 chipset, 256GB storage, 20+16MP dual rear camera, 16MP front camera and a 3,700mAh battery, reported Mashable.
As of for the price, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will come to North America and Western Europe on December 13 costing $699/€699, making it OnePlus’ most expensive phone to date, as per The Verge. The phone will soon after be available in India, China and the Nordics.
OnePlus has previously partnered with various companies to release its limited edition smartphones including OnePlus 5T Star Wars and OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War. Also, automobile and smartphone partnership aren’t new. Earlier, Oppo launched its Oppo Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition, and Huawei launched the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 20 RS.
