Soyameal on the European meals and feeds market dropped on Thursday with lower CBOT soyameal futures on the outlook for an increase in US soyabean planting in 2018. "The planting intentions survey was bearish, but it might only weigh on the market briefly because we are not through the Argentine weather trouble yet," one broker said.
South American soyameal was mostly fixed on Wednesday's lower CBOT soyameal futures and was offered between $2 and $7 a tonne lower. Rapemeal was offered between 1 euro and 2 euros a tonne lower, tracking the weaker trend in soyameal. Stronger rapeseed futures, helped by a technical rebound in Chicago soyabeans, limited losses.
