Pakistan Day marked at SZABUL

Pakistan Day was celebrated with full zeal, zest and honour at Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto University of Law (SZABUL) on Thursday. In the morning National flag was hoisted with cake cutting to commemorate the Pakistan Resolution adopted in 1940. The celebrations proceeded with seminar wherein the worthy founding Vice Chancellor former Justice Qazi Khalid Ali was the chief guest.
The seminar on Resolution Day commenced with recitation by Hafiz Muhammad Nauman. Former Justice Qazi Khalid Ali, Registrar Syed Sharaf Ali Shah, Director Finance Amir Bashir, Chairman Department of Law Dr Owais Hasan Sheikh, Dr Javed Aziz Masoodi, and Syed Shuja Abass Zaidi addressed the seminar. Afzal Kalwar sang national song.
In his address, Qazi Khalid Ali discussed different stages of Pakistan Movement. He paid rich tributes to Quaid-e-Azam Muhamamd Ali Jinnah, Allama Iqbal, Sir syed Ahmed Khan, Nawab Saleemullah Khan, Sir Agha Khan, Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar and other leaders of Pakistan Movement. He said every citizen should commit and follow the golden principles, Unity Faith and Discipline, of Quaid-e-Azam and discharge his obligations with full honesty and dedication so as to enlist Pakistan in developed and educated countries.
He said by the grace of Allah Almighty, SZABUL within five years after its inception has introduced itself at national and international level. Its credit, he said, goes to its teaching and non-teaching employees who worked day and night for the success of the university. He thanked all the present and former Chief Justices of Supreme Court and High Courts, Chairman HECP Dr Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman Sindh HEC Dr Asim Hussain, Sindh Law Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar for their patronage and cooperation. Qazi Khalid announced that brilliant, intelligent and deserving students would be provided scholarships by SZABUL. In the end he shared the ongoing process of the agreements with UK universities for promotion of higher education.-PR
