Mohammad Younus Dagha Federal Secretary for Commerce has said on Tuesday that textile exports from Pakistan have been rebounded and posting growth during this fiscal year. While addressing the Textile Asia 2018 Int'l Exhibition on Tuesday at Karachi Expo Center, he said that the textile exports of Pakistani including readymade garments have posted growth in term of quantity and volume during the initial months of this fiscal year.
He was of the view that the holding of exhibition would be beneficial for the local textile industry to enhance Pakistan textile exports in the world market. "The display of the modern machinery will also benefit textile sector and will provide new opportunities to the industry to enhance their production capacity and reduce cost of production.
Three-day 19th Textile Asia 2018-International Textile, Garments Machinery and Clothing Trade Fair was jointly organised by Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PRGMEA) and Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan.
Younus Dagha, Ms Li Yang-Vice Division Director Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province China, Han Chong CEO Zhejiang China Textile City Network Co Ltd, Inam Ullah Khan Dharejo Secretary Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Shaikh Mohammad Shafiq PRGMEA Chairman (Central), Dr Khursheed Nizam President Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd. and Uzair Nizam, Project Director Textile Asia inaugurated the exhibition by Multiple Ribbon Cutting ceremony.
On occasion, Ms Li Yang said that the purpose of holding Zhejiang Export Fair in Pakistan (Pakistan) during the period of 19th Textile & CFT Asia 2018 is to help Pakistani market for better understanding of Zhejiang textile & apparel industry which will surely increase bilateral business and investments.
She said that total value of import and export of Zhejiang reached 378 billion US dollars, and the volume between Zhejiang and Pakistan had reached 4 billion dollars. "We sincerely hope that we can build a business communication platform for companies of both countries through this exhibition. I wish this trade fair a complete success."
PRGMEA Chairman Central Shaikh Mohammad Shafiq said that this trade fair is expected to host more than 2,000 foreign delegates as well as 65,000 visitors from trade and corporate sector. The focus of this trade fair is value addition in textile industry to increase the export of our value-added textile and garment products.
This 3-day trade fair has been termed as South Asia's biggest B2B textile, garment, embroidery, digital printing machineries and chemical and allied services Fair. More than 1,000 International Brands displayed their products in over 800 Booths from 27 countries mainly from Austria, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Japan, Turkey, UK, USA etc. graced the event.
President Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan, Dr Khursheed Nizam said, that 19th Textile Asia is the only UFI (Paris) approved textile trade fair in South Asia.
