State minister for energy resigns

State Minister for Energy (Petroleum Division) Jam Kamal Khan has resigned from his post and President Mamnoon Hussain on the advice of the Prime Minister has accepted his resignation. According to a message posted on Twitter by Jam Kamal Khan, "I have resigned from the portfolio of minister of state for Petroleum Division."
A notification issued by the Presidency says, "The President on the advice of the PM has been pleased to accept the resignation tendered by Jam Kamal Khan from the office of Minister of State for Petroleum with effect from March 29, 2018."
Khan was included in the cabinet of PM Abbasi, after he took oath on August 4, 2017. He had also worked as state minister for petroleum and natural resources under former PM Nawaz Sharif. He was elected on NA-270 (Awaran-cum-Lasbella) seat in the general elections 2013.
