Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K), Raja Farooq Haider has said that there is a need to put more focus on highlighting Kashmir issue at the international level to let the world know about Indian brutalities against innocent people of Indian Occupied Kashmiri (IOK).
He was addressing a protest demonstration organized by All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) AJ&K chapter here in front of National Press Club on Monday. Haider said India has been trying to gag the voice of Kashmiris through all means but it cannot suppress the genuine demand for freedom.
The protest among others was also attended by Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Raja Haider Farooq, leaders of APHC, and members from civil society.
Protesters condemned in strong terms the cold-blooded murder of 20 Kashmiri youth by Indian occupation forces during a single day on Sunday last in Shopian district of IOK, besides injuring hundreds of others and damaging property of millions of rupees.
Haider said that India with a well-planned strategy is killing new generation of Kashmiris. He, however, expressed resolve that Indian nefarious designs to suppress Kashmiris would be frustrated.
He urged Pakistan to raise its voice against killing of Kashmiris at the United Nations (UN) through its envoys to help stop this fresh wave of genocide.
He underlined the need for resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with the UN resolutions to put an end to the decades-long issue and bring relief into the lives of Kashmiris.
He expressed support for Kashmiris freedom struggle, adding that Kashmiris of both the sides of Line of Control are united to take the struggle to its logical end.
Convener APHC AJ&K Chapter, Ghulam Muhammad Safi while lamenting the death of 20 youth in Shopian said that India has no respect for humanity which is evident from brutal use of force against unarmed and innocent people.
Other speakers said that due to the use of pellet guns, Indian forces have blinded and injured thousands of Kashmiris, besides arresting thousands others under the black laws.
They said that India has not only given licences to kill Kashmiris to its forces, but is also proving its forces innocent by giving them protection under the black laws.
The speakers expressed shock over the killing of 20 youth in Shopian district of Occupied Kashmir.
They were of the view that India through its forces is not only indulging in genocide of Kashmirs but is also molesting women. However, they said, despite all these odds and oppression by Indian occupation forces, India has failed to suppress voice of Kashmiris for freedom.
They said that Kashmiris are determined to carry forward their struggle against Indian occupation and for right to self-determination, come what may, adding that they have pledged that they would not let the blood of martyrs go waste.
