Complete shutter-down strike was observed in Jaranwala to mourn and protest the tragic death of 7-year old student Mubashra three days back in Islampura and murder of Abida BiBi of G C University Faisalabad, while members of Bar Association Jaranwala boycotted the court attendants against worst Law and Order situation.
All shopping malls and commercial centres in the City remained closed while roads wore a deserted look. At some places, protestors burnt tyres and blocked the roads. All private schools and colleges were also closed completely, while government schools and Colleges were opened but attendance was seen very low. In a joint meeting of Anjuman-e-Tajran and Bar Association Jarawala strongly demanded immediate arrest of killers and fool proof arrangements to be made to overcome the criminals.
Meanwhile, students of G C University were also taken a rally to protest and blocked the Chenab Chowk for two hours against abduction and murder of Abida, student of MA English.
