The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday obtained 15-day physical remand of former Chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Asif Akhtar Hashmi from two different accountability courts in two different references of misuse of authority and making illegal appointments.

The accountability court judge Muhammad Azam, granted remand of Hashmi to the NAB in the reference of land while another court judge, Khaqan Babar, allowed the bureau to have his custody in illegal appointments case.
The judge Muhammad Azam also extended physical remand of Hashmi for another 15-day in third reference of making illegal investment worth Rs 1870 million with a private company namely M/s High Links (Pvt) Limited.
