Following the provincial government's plan to open shelter homes under its 100-day plan, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated on Friday a shelter home in Peshawar.
The shelter house, established by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, will accommodate 200 people. The homeless will be provided food and medical facilities during their stay in the shelter home, local media reported.
The premier will inaugurate three more shelter homes during his day long visit to the city. These homes will accommodate more than 400 people. During his visit, PM Khan will also address the provincial cabinet regarding the 100-day plan at Nishtar Hall.
In November, the prime minister had laid the foundation stone for one of the five shelter projects in Lahore. The PM said, "We are committed to building a social net for our poor citizens so everyone has a shelter over his/her head and access to health & education."
