PM, CoAS likely to leave for Saudi Arabia today

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi along with Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa may visit Saudi Arabia today (Sunday) to witness the military exercise by 41-member Islamic military alliance. The visit of the Prime Minister and the Army Chief could not be confirmed officially by the Foreign Office, as there was no word available from its spokesperson.
However, diplomatic sources said that the Prime Minister would be accompanied by Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Minister for Defense Khurram Dastgir to witness the military exercise by the Saudi-led 41-member Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, which started on Saturday in the deserts of Riyadh. During the visit, the sources said that the Prime Minister and the Army Chief would meet Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman to discuss bilateral relations and regional situation, especially the Syria conflict.
