Hazara man shot dead in Quetta

Another person of Shia Hazara community was shot dead by unidentified armed men at Abdul Sattar road, here on Wednesday. According to police sources, two unidentified armed men riding a motorbike opened fire inside a shop located in Abdul Sattar Road, killing the shopkeeper on the spot. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta by rescue team where the deceased was identified as 50-year-old Muhammad Asif, son of Ghulam Nabi. He was a resident of Alamdar Road.
The SHO of City police station, Malik Murad, said the attacker managed to flee from the scene after incident. He said that the deceased was Shia by faith of Hazara community. Police surgeon Dr Ali Imran said that the victim was shot by five bullets in neck, chest and arm. SHO Murad said the incident seemed to be result of a targeted killing and the police are looking into the matter. According to witnesses, two unidentified men carried out the attack and fled on their motorcycle.
