Bid to sumggle cellphones foiled

Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Preventive on Wednesday claimed to have foiled an attempt of smuggling 116 cell phones worth Rs 1.3 million from a Pakistani passenger. According to details, the preventive staff posted at Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) on a tip-off intercepted a passenger namely Khurram Ali Raza, who travelled in foreign airline flight QR-604 from Korea. During his physical examination, the staff has recovered 116 cell phones of assorted brands worth Rs 1.3 million from his possession. Consequent upon recovery, a case has been registered and further investigation was underway.
