Wana Agri Park: PBIF president sees huge investment opportunities

President of Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum (PBIF) Mian Zahid Hussain has said that investors can make significant profits by investing in different sectors at the Wana Agri Park spread over 350-kanal land where all basic infrastructure has been developed by Pakistan Army.
"Local and international investors can avail huge investment opportunities in the FATA area of Pakistan," he said, adding Pakistan army established Wana Agri Park where processing of pine nuts can be carried out. He said Pakistan is the second largest producer of pine nuts in the World.
Talking to the business community, Mian Zahid said, the Agri Park contains almost all facilities to process and store locally-produced agro products. He said prior to its establishment, pine nuts produced in Pakistan had been sent to China for processing. He said now the local producers can access international market directly which would reduce the cost of doing business and would significantly increase profit margins. He said true potential of the area is yet to be discovered for which PBIF woos investors to visit the area, see the investment opportunities themselves and unveil true potential of the region. He said Waziristan's traders' sit-in on ended after DG ISPR played his role on the Army chief's instruction that is commendable.
"Establishment of various development projects in different agencies including Waziristan has increased investment opportunities in the area, which will improve living standard of local people," he said, adding that it would play vital role in economic development of the country.
Veteran businessman said confidence of local traders in the government institutions would be restored after their problems' resolution. He said trade activities in the area would further flourish which would develop local economy and would play significant role in sustainable peace in the area. PBIF president appreciated the role of Pakistan's armed forces and Chief of the Army Staff for restoring peace in the FATA agencies including North and South Waziristan.
