A disgruntled PTI legislator Yasin Khan Khalil on Thursday submitted a privilege motion against chairman PTI Imran Khan to summon him to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly to present proofs of the allegations levelled by him against the members. Otherwise, in case of failure in presenting proofs, he should not only tender apology to the provincial assembly as well as the people of the province.
The privilege motion has said that on April 18, 2018, the Chairman PTI Imran Khan has accused 20 members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly for selling votes in the Senate poll.
The privilege motion further said that they were neither issued show-cause notices nor given opportunity to be heard and nor they were given proofs. It said that all members of the assembly are honourable and representing their respective constituencies.
The resolution added that their defamation in such a manner without any proof has no precedent either Pakhtun society, religion of Islam, Constitution of Pakistan and even in the constitution and election manifesto of the PTI.
Therefore, the privilege motion said that the press conference has not breached his privilege rather of the whole pride Pakhtun nation, the electorates of his constituency PK-5 and rather the privilege of the whole provincial assembly.
The session of the provincial assembly has been summoned on May 3, 2018 for the purpose to present budget for financial year 2018-19 in the house.
