Sizzling heat likely to simmer down in Karachi

The continuing sizzling temperature is expected to simmer down a bit in Karachi to a maximum 38 degrees Celsius but not elsewhere in Sindh on Saturday, the Met Office said on Friday. Maximum temperature is expected to range up to 48 degrees Celsius, each, in District Shaheed Benazirabad and Qambar Shahdadkot. Kashmore, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Noshahro Feroze, Sanghar and Dadu are likely to witness a hot weather with 47 degrees Celsius, each, over the period.
Mercury is also expected to simmer Sukkur, Larkana and Ghotki with temperature up to 46 degrees Celsius. Hot weather is likely to batter Tando Muhammad Khan, Jamshoro, Mityari, Tando Allah Yar, Umerkot and Tharparkar with 44 degrees Celsius. Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas may undergo 43 degrees Celsius of temperature, each, with Sujawal and Thatta 40 and Badin 41.
The continuing heat waves that battered Karachi with a maximum 41 degrees Celsius on Friday are now expected to simmer down to 38 degrees Celsius on Saturday. However, the temperature is likely to scale down further to 36 degrees Celsius on Sunday with a maximum 85 percent humidity. Warm weather is likely to grip the metropolis on Saturday and Sunday.
Temperature on Friday simmered Turbat and Mithi with 46 degrees Celsius, each, Shaheed Benazirabad, Hyderabad and Dadu 45, each, Chhor 44.4, Padidan, Larkana and Badin 44, Jacobabad, Sukrand And Sukkur 43.5, each, Mirpurkhas and Moen-Jo-Daro 43, each, Rohri 42, Thatta 41.5 and Karachi 40.5. The Met Office forecast mainly hot and dry weather for the most parts of the country on Saturday with an isolated rain-thunderstorm in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala and Sargodha Divisions, besides Islamabad, Upper FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Sandstorm is expected to swirl in Multan, Faisalabad and Sahiwal Divisions.
