An elegant prize distribution ceremony was held for winning teams/players of first All Pakistan Food Authority Table Tennis Tournament held at Chromatex Table Tennis Club here on Monday. The tournament was jointly organized by Punjab Food Authority (PFA) and Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) for promoting the sports activities and encourage the youth for participating in the games for showing their talent.
Punjab Food Authority Director General Noor ul Amin Mengal was the chief guest of the ceremony. On the occasion, PTTF Secretary Ahmar Malik, tennis lovers, officials of both organizations including PTTF and PFA, notables and many from different segments of the society were present.
Some 200 players participated from across the country in a four-day tournament including teams of WAPDA, ARMY, KPK, Balochistan, Sindh and 36 districts of Punjab.
According to results of the tournament, Pakistan Wapda's both men and women teams won team event after beating Army and Chromatex Table Tennis Club in finals.
