Punjab Minister for Investment, Commerce and Trade Sheikh Alla uddin on Thursday inaugurated the three-day 16th international exhibition for the gas and oil energy industry, POGEE-2018, here at the Expo Centre. Over 300 companies from different countries including China, Germany, Italy, Canada, Denmark, Egypt, France, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Poland, Japan, Pakistan, Singapore, USA, Australia, South Korea, U.K, Japan, Slovakia, Belgium, Malaysia, U.S.A, Spain, Poland, Taiwan, Thailand, Sweden, Netherlands, Turkey and Saudi Arabia are taking part in the exhibition.
Talking to media, the minister said that POGEE-2018 would be an ideal platform to display the latest equipment and machinery as well as allied services. Besides, it will provide an opportunity to investors with a definite outlook of the regional energy industry and to meet their prospective counterparts, he said. He said this globally recognized platform anticipates that participation of each individual brings benefit and success in their businesses and enables the country to move a step forward towards its economic growth.
The exhibition provides an opportunity to bring together the international business professionals and the leading local industry players to exchange their technical and business expertise in a highly focused B2B environment to acquaint the local industry with the latest developments in the world wide oil gas and energy sector, he added. Meanwhile, the minister visited the various stalls included state-of-the-art equipment, machinery and technological advancement.
