A huddle of parliamentary leaders and representatives of various political parties on the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) reforms remained inclusive on Thursday. A meeting presided over by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was held in his chamber in the National Assembly to discuss matters relating to implementation of FATA reforms.
The government's allies Maulna Fazlur Rehman of Jamiat Ulem-e-Islam (Fazl) and Mehmood Khan Achazai, chief of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKAMP), remained firm on their stance over FATA reforms and the Prime Minister sought time from them to take the matter to the party's CEC.
The Prime Minister reportedly stated that he would place the viewpoint of allied parties as well as opposition before the Pakistan Muslim League (N) Central Executive Committee (CEC) and will then let everyone know about the CEC decision.
