Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday said that politically conscious people of Pakistan have fully understood "Zardari and Niazi brothers" who have deceived the masses for long five years with their hollow slogans. While talking to a delegation of elected representatives, here on Friday, Shahbaz said the politics of Niazi Sahib is filled with U-turns, sit-ins and setting records of falsehood. The so-called claimants of change were unable to complete any worthwhile project in KPK and Peshawar city has been dug in the name of metro bus project, he added.
He said that Zardari's huge stolen amount in Swiss banks testify his corruption stories. "Those who are totally drenched in corruption are now talking about the accountability," he said, adding: "The claimants of politics of principles have set a new record of deviation from their earlier claim by being paid which has been exposed in the senate elections."
Shahbaz claimed that performance of the PML-N government is a worth-following example for all. "The government has worked hard for bringing improvements in health, education and other sectors and as a result, Punjab has taken the lead while the people were badly ignored in KPK and Sindh provinces," he added. He said that PML-N government's unusual steps for public welfare will bury their politics and the next elections will harbinger the victory of transparency, honesty and public service.
The brave people of Pakistan will cast their votes on the basis of performance and so-called claimants of change as well as the plunders will be rejected by them, he added.
Moreover, Shahbaz while taking strict notice of news items regarding increase in prices of some of the essential food items ahead of the holy month of Ramazan, has asked the provincial cabinet committee for price control to take immediate steps to bring stability in the prices of essential food items.
He has also directed that the administration should ensure provision of eatables to the people at fixed rates at every cost adding that sale of food items at higher rates will not be tolerated at any cost.
Cabinet committee, concerned agencies as well as the district administration should play their respective roles in bringing stability in daily use items, he added.
Furthermore, as soon as Shahbaz Sharif heard about the fire in a Multan Road factory, he issued directions to the concerned agencies to use all the necessary resources for early extinguishing the fire. "Rescue 1122 and other line departments must work proactively and every possible step should be taken to avoid the human loss," he added.
