A six-member parliamentary committee comprising three each from PTI and the opposition was constituted on Friday to end deadlock over nomination of caretaker chief minister for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, except JUI-F, other opposition parties rejected the committee, saying that committee is comprised of only PTI and JUI-F members.
PTI provincial leader Shaukat Yousafzai told the media that committee comprises equal representation from both treasury and opposition to finalize the name of caretaker chief minister within three days. He expressed hope that the committee would agree on a name within the time. He told the members included Shahram Taraqai, Atif Khan, Mehmood Khan of PTI and Mufti Fazal Ghafoor, Noor Salim Marwat and Mehmood Bhittani of opposition.
Meanwhile, addressing a press conference after opposition parties' meeting, ANP leader Sardar Hussain Babak said the game has been fixed between the JUI-F and PTI as all the members from the opposition side belonged to JUI-F while the treasury members were from PTI.
