CJP takes notice of SHC judge seeking protocol in GB

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Friday took notice of a letter of registrar Sindh High Court to the Chief Court Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) to provide protocol and security to a judge of SHC and his family who are on a visit to Gilgit-Baltistan. The Chief Justice sought explanation from the SHC registrar that under what authority, a letter was written to the Chief Court GB to provide protocol and security.
The SHC registrar, on June 5, wrote the letter to the registrar Chief Court, Gilgit-Baltistan, home secretary GB, secretary services GAD Gilgit-Baltistan, which read that Justice Mahmood A Khan, a judge of SHC, and his family members will be visiting Gilgit-Baltistan from June 20 to 30, 2018. He asked them to provide them accommodation, official vehicles, security arrangement and protocol facility.
