Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb Sunday said the PML-N was largest and most popular political party of the country. Talking to a private news channel, she said the opposition parties had been wishing for a long time to see the party broken but there was no such thing as the PML-N was united under its dynamic leadership.
She said the process of awarding party tickets to the candidates was being run in a democratic way and in a transparent manner and interviews were being conducted from the candidates and no decision was taken so far about any candidate. Once the decision of awarding tickets to the PML-N candidates was finalised, it would be announced properly, she added. Interviews of the candidates were being conducted division wise and only those candidates would be given party ticket who would submit application, she said.
Marriyum Aurangzeb while commenting on PTI's ticket distribution, said it was very unfortunate that loyal and committed workers were denied party tickets while those who recently joined PTI from other parties under a deal, were given tickets.
To a question regarding party leaders who opt for contesting elections from more than one constituency; she was of the view that beside other factors, voter perspective was also important one, as voters of other constituency wanted their leader to contest from there as well.
